Online Toolkits

Yesterday afternoon I attended two online toolkits as part of Manaiakalani PD. The first one was  When Basic Facts Backfire: How to engage your learners in Maths.
This was great and I will use the quiz template with my students so that they can create and share their learning. There were also some great examples shared for Digital fluent Mathematicians: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1oGSVKYkRjsU0Ut8YH0voECpLKj0j5PzkfrGND2dys-E/edit?zx=x21t8lcm7t53#slide=id.p
The second toolkit was Te Reo Maori 101
I got a little lost in this one but there were some valuable resources shared. They also discussed the difference between Mihimihi and Pepeha which I found interesting - they said that Pepeha was more about where you are form - e.g. whakatauki etc and Mihihmihi is your genealogy.

  1. Kia ora Lisa,
Great to read your reflection on our Online Toolkits. Have your students had a chance to create a quiz yet? Will keep an eye out on your class blog/students individual blogs and give them some feedback.
    Ngā mihi
    Tania
